How late can the event go?

Events may last until midnight.  Remember that you get the facility for the entire day.

How late can the music continue?

We request that the music be turned down at 10:30 P.M., but it can continue until midnight.

What time can we come on the day of the wedding?

A good starting time is from 8-9 A.M.  You have the facility for the entire day.

Are there rooms for changing?

There is a Brides’ room and a Grooms’ room for your use before the ceremony.  There is a bathroom which adjoins the changing rooms for your use before the ceremony.

Can we have the ceremony anywhere?

You have the choice of the area in front of the property with the amphitheatre columns framing the ceremony or in the back yard overlooking the ocean next to the swimming pool.

Can we have a bridge over the swimming pool?

Yes, but at your expense and our specifications.

 Can pictures be taken from inside the mansion?

This is a negotiable item depending upon numbers and time of picture taking.

Is there outside lighting?

There certainly is outside lighting, but you may want to augment the lighting or change the colors.  Spot lights to each table are a nice addition.  There are lighting experts that do just what you want.  On the court you could add twinkle lights in any pattern you may desire.

How many people can the facility accommodate?

The facility can accommodate 200 guests in the courtyard, 400 guests seated at tables in the lower court, and more if the event has staged areas.  It is possible to accommodate as many as 1,000 guests.

Will we need portable toilets?

Because Malibu is on septic systems, we require you to have portable bathrooms.  There are lovely bathrooms with flush toilets, lights, and sinks with running water.  We suggest the Executive model and can help you rent the Executive model.

Is there a place for children to be entertained?

The Grooms’ room has a VCR and is available for your use if you provide your own baby sitter.  Please bring your own videos.

Is there an opportunity for rehearsal?

You have a rehearsal allowed on the day before the wedding.  Please set up the time in advance.

Can we set up the day before?

No, but the rental items may be delivered in advance if there is not an event the day before your event and picked up on Monday following your event if there is no event after your event.  Your caterer will need to place rental items in one area that is not in the way of normal use of property. It is possible to purchase additional time for setup and strike days.

What if there is another event following in the next day?

We will have both parties talk to each other and see if any rentals can be shared, thereby ensuring at least the saving of another delivery fee.  We will have the facility properly cleaned and ready for the next event.
